We are proud to announce that our Cheerleaders of The Game for the October 20th Aztec win over the Spartans from San Jose State are Sarah Uribe & Jordyn Steinhilber!

Sarah is a junior who is majoring in Studio Art and comes to our program from San Diego, CA.  She is currently in her third season with SDSU Cheerleading.

Jordyn is a senior who is majoring in Nutrition. She comes to our program from Foothills Ranch, CA and is currently in her fourth season with SDSU Cheerleading.

Cheerleaders of the Game - SDSU vs. Air Force, Oct. 12th

We are proud to announce that our Cheerleaders of The Game for the October 12th Aztec win over the Falcons from Air Force Academy are Haley Kyne & Devon Sanford!

Haley is a senior who is majoring in Criminal Justice and comes to our program from San Diego, CA.  She is currently in her fourth season with SDSU Cheerleading.

Devon is a sophomore who is majoring in Biology. She comes to our program from El Dorado Hills, CA and is currently in her second season with SDSU Cheerleading.

Cheerleaders of the Game - SDSU vs. Eastern Michigan, Sept. 22nd

We are proud to announce that our Cheerleaders of The Game for the September 22nd Aztec win over the Eastern Michigan University are Riley Dorn & Shannon Huff!

Riley is a senior who is majoring in Sociology and comes to our program from Simi Valley, CA.  She is currently in her fourth season with SDSU Cheerleading.

Shannon is a junior who is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Leadership Development. She comes to our program from Ramona, CA and is currently in her third season with SDSU Cheerleading.

We are proud to announce that our Cheerleaders of The Game for the September 15th HUGE Aztec win over the Arizona State University are Shayd Silva and Duncan Martin!

Shayd is a senior who is majoring in Business Accounting and comes to our program from Huntington Beach, CA.  She is currently in her fourth season with SDSU Cheerleading.

Duncan is a junior who is studying Kinesiology - Pre-Physical Therapy and comes to our program from Ramona, CA.  He is currently in his third season with SDSU Cheerleading.

We are proud to announce that our Cheerleaders of The Game for the September 8th Aztec win over the Sacramento State University are Megan Hooks and Jordyn Serrino!

Megan is a freshman who is majoring in Kinesiology - Pre-Physical Therapy and comes to our program from San Ramon, CA.  She is currently in her first season with SDSU Cheerleading.

Jordyn is a senior who is studying Communications & Journalism and comes to our program from Brick Township, NJ.  She is currently in her fourth season with SDSU Cheerleading.

SDSU Cheerleading Tryouts

Tryouts for the 2018-2019 are quickly approaching!

SDSU Cheerleading will be hosting our tryouts for the upcoming season in Peterson Gym starting on Wednesday, April 11th through Friday, April 13th!  

We will be hosting open practices for our current and prospective athletes starting every Monday evening starting March 5th from 8:00pm - 10:00pm, leading up to tryouts week!  Come see if SDSU Cheerleading is the right fit for you!

All Ages Clinic & Recruitment Clinic Dates Have Been Announced!

SDSU Cheer is excited to announce the dates for our annual Football Halftime Performance Cheer Clinic and our Recruitment Clinic

Football Halftime Performance Clinic

The Football Halftime Performance Clinic is a four hour instructional clinic where participants will learn a sideline cheer and a dance that will be performed with the SDSU Cheerleading and Dance Teams during halftime of the SDSU Football Game on November 18th versus the Nevada Wolfpack.  Registration includes a shirt for the participants to wear to the performance, admission into the football game and two additional tickets for family or friends.  You can find the link to register for this event under our "Upcoming Events" page.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Recruitment Clinic

Are you interested in cheering on the collegiate level?  Come find out if San Diego State University is the right fit for you!  During this four hour clinic, participants will stunt and tumble with members of the SDSU Cheerleading Team, participate in a Q&A session with team members as well as get the opportunity to watch the teams perform their nationals routines for UCA Collegiate Nationals.  Better yet, this event is FREE!  For more information, please see our "Upcoming Events" page.  Come check out the SDSU Cheerleading Program and see what we are all about!  You CAN Have This Aztec Life!

UCA / UDA Nationals

This past weekend, San Diego State Cheer & Dance competed at the UCA / UDA Collegiate National Championships in Orlando, FL.  While competing against some of the most talented and prolific names in the realm of collegiate cheerleading and dance, San Diego State represented our university with pride and proved that they were a force to be reckoned with.    

• All-Girl Group Stunt - 7th Place
• D1A Jazz - 7th Place
• D1A Hip Hop - 6th Place
• D1A All-Girl Cheer - 3rd Place

We couldn't be more proud of all of our Lady Aztecs and of how they represented our university on a national level! Go Aztecs!

SDSU Recruitment Clinic - Saturday, January 7th, 2016

On Saturday, January 7th, the SDSU Cheerleading Program will be hosting our Annual Recruitment Clinic.  Are you interested in practicing with one of the top cheerleading programs in the nation?  Here's your chance!  The clinic will take place from 10:00AM - 2:00PM in Peterson Gym on SDSU campus. This event is free to attend!  Participants will get the opportunity to stunt and tumble and have a Q&A session with SDSU Cheerleaders and take a tour of the San Diego State campus.  The SDSU All-Girl competitive team and Group Stunt will also be performing their UCA Nationals routines.  If you are interested, email Coach Jennifer Long at coachjenlong@aol.com to reserve your spot today!  You CAN have this Aztec life!

Rachel is a senior who is studying Public Health and comes to our program from Murrieta, CA.  She is currently in her fifth season with SDSU Cheerleading.

Aileen is a junior who is majoring in Kinesiology - Physical Therapy and comes to our program from Kihei, HI.  She is currently in her third season with SDSU Cheerleading.
